Innovation and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice—Course Description

This is an introductory course in innovation and entrepreneurship in support of the strategic promotion of “innovation and entrepreneurship” in the national policy. Aimed to foster innovative and entrepreneurial thinking and practice, this course focuses on the cultivation of innovative thinking, entrepreneurial skills, as well as innovation and development, while emphasizes on the theories and practice of in a scientific and systematic manner. It is an integrated, manifold, three-dimensional and lively course on innovation and entrepreneurship. The course contents include: innovative thinking and methods, entrepreneurial quality and abilities, how to find business projects, designs of  business models, entrepreneurial team building, business plan and road show, lean start-up, and start-up stories. This course seeks to reconstruct the contents of traditional teaching materials on innovation and entrepreneurship to adapt to the development of innovation and entrepreneurship and meet the needs of flipped teaching.

Main Teaching Objectives: Students are expected to establish correct concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship, develop the awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship, understand basic innovative methods and entrepreneurial skills to lay a foundation for future entrepreneurship.
